Streptococcus pneumoniae.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
<title>Objective</title><p>Objective. A 1 year and 1 month old child was diagnosed with pneumococcal infection without a focus of infection. After examination of the child, the doctors excluded foci of infection characteristics of pneumococcal infection, and the discharge of St. pneumoniae from the blood enabled to diagnose occult bacteremia. Despite bacteremia and signs of systemic inflammatory response, the absence of severe clinical manifestations and signs of multiple organ failure gave grounds to exclude sepsis.</p>
<title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
