<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Progress in the treatment of epilepsy in recent years has been determined mainly by the development and use of new anticonvulsants, as well as the search for new alternative methods for reducing epileptic seizures. The issue of pharmacoresistance remains relevant. This paper presents an analysis of information about neuroinflammation as a pathophysiological phenomenon, its possible role in epileptogenesis and the prospects for influencing the pathological process in epilepsy by influencing its elements. General data on epileptogenesis, the role of neuroinflammation in its formation and maintenance, the main cellular and humoral effectors of the neuroinflammatory process and the prospects for the development of new therapeutic approaches are presented.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>дети</kwd><kwd>эпилепсия</kwd><kwd>эпилептогенез</kwd><kwd>воспаление</kwd><kwd>нейровоспаление</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>children</kwd><kwd>epilepsy</kwd><kwd>epileptogenesis</kwd><kwd>inflammation</kwd><kwd>neuroinflammation</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Ma H, Lin H.
